Jumeirah Capri Palace

Capri

The new suites designed by Patricia Urquiola take the concept of Mediterranean luxury to a whole new level at the Jumeirah Capri Palace in Anacapri. The outdoor furniture and tones of the fabrics sit harmoniously in their setting, while the sofas and cabanas are the heroes of the spectacular poolside area.

Gallery

Set amongst Anacapri’s Mediterranean gardens, the Jumeirah Capri Palace has had an identity facelift with the introduction of five new suites by famous designer Patricia Urquiola.

A project that provides a unique take on the island’s genius loci by incorporating natural light, tactile materials and flowing forms, successfully conjuring up a deeply Mediterranean sense of comfort and refinement.

The new rooms, overlooking the Gulf of Naples and the pool area, are designed as microcosms etched into the light: organic curves, smooth concrete surfaces reminiscent of the gently lapping sea, sofas resembling polished rocks, and tables-cum-sculptures seemingly carved from the landscape. The colour palette ranges from chalky white to terracotta with pops of deep sea blue, blurring the lines between inside and out. Each element is part of a cohesive wider story wherein nothing is purely decorative and everything plays a part in conveying the island’s multilayered culture and materials with a contemporary sensibility.

We are proud to have been part of this project, providing the outdoor furniture: from seating to storage units, from sofas to bespoke squabs and cushions, even producing the iconic pool cabanas. The project also included items made specially for the terraces and outside bar lounge areas, helping create harmonious, welcoming spaces that strike a balance between organic elegance and functional comfort.

In such a prestigious setting, every detail is designed to celebrate Capri’s identity without descending into the folklore-esque. Palladian stone paving, hand-decorated majolica tiles, bespoke furniture and a palette that takes its cue from the stone and sea: each component has a connection with the location, turning the hotel into a sensory experience that ties together architecture, landscape and long-held local tradition.

Being part of this design vision, driven by one of the most influential names in contemporary design, is a significant collaboration for Nalesso, allowing us to, once again, apply our hallmark craftsmanship to a large-scale international blue-chip project.
